The Athens International Digital Film Festival (AIDFF), remaining faithful to its mission of promoting art and humanism through cinema, continues this year its thematic and human-centered tributes, showcasing creators who have left a profound mark on Greek and international cultural life. As part of the 14th Athens International Digital Film Festival, distinguished filmmaker Dimos Avdeliodis will be honored for his lifetime achievements and invaluable contribution to Greek cinema.

 A Cinematic Journey That Endures Beyond Time. Cinema is, by its nature, an ephemeral art. Films usually remain in theaters for a few weeks before giving way to new releases, new stories, new images. Rarely does a film transcend this cycle of consumption and remain alive far beyond its expected duration. And yet, Christos N. Karakasis’ Take a Trip, defying all conventions of our era, continues to be screened for 100 consecutive weeks at Studio Cinema in Athens—a record unprecedented in Greece and exceptionally rare worldwide.

"The Razor’s Edge" – A Documentary Bridging Martial Arts and Human Philosophy. The Greek documentary film “The Razor’s Edge / Στην Κόψη του Ξυραφιού”, directed by Christos N. Karakasis, continues its dynamic journey across the global stage, gaining recognition in the UK, USA, and Canada. The film, which delves into the martial art of Kung Fu, is now available on major international streaming platforms TUBI (FOX), Apple TV, and Amazon Prime Video.

For the 13th consecutive year, the Athens International Digital Film Festival (AIDFF) took place from December 12 to 18, 2024. The closing ceremony marked the culmination of a successful week in a packed auditorium (Studio New Star Art Cinema) filled with artists and film enthusiasts. The atmosphere was warm and festive as the festival honored iconic creators alongside emerging artists from around the globe.
